Nihonbashi , 日本橋 can be dated back to 17th_century. The first one was a wooden bridge and completed in 1603. The current one is a Renaissance style stone bridge completed in 1911. It was appointed to be the starting point of 5 major roads in Japan during Edo period. A handful of important place around there such as Bank of Japan, Mitsukoshi and Takashimaya department stores (2 of the oldest Japanese department stores), Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower, Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Bank of America Merrill Lynch Japan, etc
